What is Online Payment Processing?

Online payment processing is the ability to accept payments for goods and services in real time over the internet. Transactions are processed in a similar way to that of a physical point of sale (POS) terminal found at the cash register of a typical retail store.

How do I get started?

To enable your store for online credit card processing follow these easy steps:

APPLY

Apply for an "Internet Merchant Account" at a participating financial organization.

While you are waiting for your application to be processed, review the online Merchant Integration Kit to learn about each of our solutions. If you’re unsure which solution is best for you, phone our 24-hour Technical Support line at 1.877.600.1717 (or in Germany, Switzerland and Sweden at 00.800.0600.1717).

Sign Up

Once you have received your merchant ID(s) from your Financial Institution you are ready to sign up with the payment processor. If you have not yet done so, fill out the Activation form.

By filling out the Activation form you agree to sign up for the online payment service. You will be billed for the service in 30 days or after you have gone live, whichever comes first.

Once you have signed up, we will have the information necessary to configure your online store on the payment gateway. (We will then e-mail codes to you that uniquely identify your store so that you can begin the process of integrating the payment solution you have chosen.) When your store has been configured we will send you a ReadyGo e-mail confirming you can begin integrating one of the payment solutions and outlining steps you must follow.

INTEGRATE

Once you have received the ReadyGo e-mail, you can integrate the payment solution you have chosen using the easy-to-follow documentation found in the Merchant Integration Kit.
